240#目棕刚玉是以铝矾土、无烟煤、铁屑作为主要原料，在电弧炉内经高温炼制而成，呈棕褐色，韧性好，显微硬度1800-2200kg/mm2,体积密度3.85g/cm3,耐高温，耐火度高达1850℃，由于它具有耐高温，强度高，抗氧化，耐侵蚀，耐磨损等优良性能，所以在耐火材料和磨料磨具行业被广泛使用，可做耐火材料和磨料。

Brown fused alumina is made of bauxite, anthracite coal, and smelted in electric-arc furnace of high temperature more than 2000 degrees. Abrasives tools made by brown fused alumina are suitable for metal with high tensile(like: steel, malleable iron, bronze etc). Suitable for product high consolidation abrasive, and suitable for grinding, polishing, blasting, precision casting etc. brown fused alumina is also used for refractory material.
